Privacy policy

RewardsCard Africa is operated by Flywave Technology Limited, the same company behind RibiRewards. This policy explains what information we collect when you request or receive a reward card, and how we use it.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers two kinds of people: the sender who requests a reward card through our order form, and the recipient who claims a card by entering a code.
If you already hold a RibiRewards account, your use of that platform is covered by RibiRewards' own privacy policy. This page covers the rewardscardafrica.com order flow specifically.
2. Information we collect
From senders: name, email address, billing details needed to issue an invoice, and the recipient information you provide (name, email, country, amount, and any personal message).
From recipients: name, email, phone number, delivery address, and a PIN you create when you claim a card. We collect a delivery address only where it's needed to fulfil a physical product you choose to redeem.
We do not collect payment card details directly — invoice payments are processed by our banking and payment partners, who handle that data under their own security standards.
3. How we use this information
To create and deliver your reward card, to process the invoice and payment, to fulfil whatever a recipient redeems against their balance, and to provide support if something goes wrong with an order.
If a recipient's details match an existing RibiRewards account by email, we link the new card balance to that account so it can be accessed through either platform without creating a duplicate.
We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not use sender or recipient data for advertising.
4. Who we share it with
Fulfilment partners — mobile network operators, delivery couriers, and merchants — only receive the information needed to complete a specific redemption (for example, a delivery address for a physical product, or a phone number for an airtime top-up).
We may share information with payment processors and banking partners solely to process invoice payments.
We do not share recipient messages, balances, or order history with senders' employers beyond what the sender themself submitted.
5. How long we keep it
We retain order and account records for as long as needed to resolve disputes, meet accounting and tax obligations, and support an active card balance (cards are valid for 12 months from issue).
You can request deletion of your information once there is no active balance or legal reason to retain it, by emailing hello@rewardscardafrica.com.
6. Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@rewardscardafrica.com from the address associated with your order or account.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections and restricted internal access to recipient PINs and balances.
No system is completely risk-free; if you suspect unauthorised access to your card or account, contact us immediately.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected with a new "last updated" date at the top of this page.
